2025 NFL Draft Recap: Giants Double Dip, Packers Throw it Back to '02

John (and Seamus second hand) could not be more excited about the Giants' 2025 draft class. An apparent home run with Abdul Carter at 3rd overall, and a trade up for the potential QB of the future in Jaxson Dart at 25, lead the way for a well rounded class overall. To Seamus' surprise, the Packers drafted a wide receiver in the first round for the first time since 2002. Per usual, this pick set the tone for a very Packers-esque draft which included taking a combination of the best athletes available, while simultaneously filling teams needs. The Decleated Duo also have some takeaways on how the draft went overall, the most notable being Seamus' correct prediction that Shedeur Sanders would fall out of the first round.

The wait for NFL Draft night is almost over! John and Seamus make their picks for each team in the first round of the draft. The question is how much will this mock draft mirror the real draft?

The new league year could not have started any different for the Giants and the Packers. John recaps the 11 signings and multiple resigning made by the Giants and gives his thoughts on the who he thinks the Giants will sign to quarterback the team. Seamus' Packers on the other hand, were fairly quiet in the first week of free agency. He discusses his thoughts on the Pack's offseason moves so far.

Rumours: NFL Combine Talks, Trades, Free Agency Preview

The NFL offseason is in full swing following the Combine and some intriguing storylines are starting to heat up for both of John's and Seamus' teams. The Giants have been in talks with another veteran QB in Aaron Rodgers, while the Packers have been linked to DK Metcalf trade talks. The duo also list their "needs" for each of their teams in Free Agency.

After recapping Super Bowl 59, Seamus and John reflect on the 2024-25 season as a whole. They also preview some of their hopes for the Packers and Giants in the offseason.

The Whole Enchilada: Super Bowl 59 Preview, NFL Award Predictions

After 284 games played this NFL season... only one remains... Super Bowl 59! While the matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles isn't the most original (or favorable for some viewers), the stage is set for what should be a phenomenal game of football to conclude the season. John and Seamus relive the games that got both of these teams to this point, make their predictions for the big game, and make their picks for the NFL Award winners.

Irish Go Down Fighting: CFB National Championship and NFL Divisional Recaps, Conference Championship Previews

Seamus is understandably disappointed by Notre Dame's loss to Ohio State in the National Championship game, but he can't help but be excited about what's to come in the Marcus Freeman era. The Decleated duo also play the three word game to recap the NFL Divisional round games, which includes impromptu rants about Patrick Mahomes, NFL officiating, and oblivious Lions fans. Finally, John and Seamus give their predictions for the NFC and AFC Championship games, and their ideal Super Bowl LIX matchup.

After a disappointing loss to the Eagles, Seamus reflects on the Packers season and optimistically looks to the future. John reflects on the 5 day football weekend including the NFL wildcard games and CFB semifinals. They also preview the NFL divisional round matchups and are both riding with a HUGE underdog. Lastly, Seamus anxiously awaits his Fighting Irish to battle the Buckeyes in the first 12-team CFB Playoff national championship!

John can't help but express his disappointment with the Giants' decision to retain Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll for another season. However, this outcome was not the worst case scenario and Seamus tries to instill some optimism about the opportunity this regime has to bounce back this offseason. Then, Seamus also expresses some disappointment with the way the Packers finished the regular season. John returns the favor as the voice of reason and reminds Seamus to take a breath before the Packers make their second consecutive appearance as the youngest team in the NFL Playoffs. A disappointed John and Seamus discuss the (very different) misfortunes of the Giants and Packers. John has an eerily familiar feeling with the Giants, where the team proved they could not tank successfully. On the other hand, Seamus was disgusted to see the Packers who have been steadily improving the last 3-4 weeks, revert to their early season woes as they fall to 1-4 against NFC North opponents.
